Leticia Haute Coiffure gets you ready for the Festival Season

It’s Lovebox time! Chiltern Street’s Leticia Haute Coiffure expert team gets you ready for the Festival Season with a step by step hair and beauty checklist that promises to help you keep fabulous and glamorous while you go glamping!

20140718-165006.jpg
A trip to V Festival, Lovebox, T In The Park or Latitude definitely takes you out of your beauty element when it comes to the modern conveniences of blow-dryers and lighted makeup mirrors. With careful planning and a few simple tricks, you can still look radiantly lovely and refreshed until your return to civilisation. Here are Leticia Haute Coiffure’s tips on
how to do Glamping the right way

20140718-165134.jpg
First step: the wax
Most of us feel extra self‐conscious about every visible hair on our limbs. Leticia Haute Coiffure offers painless hot wax treatments, which will remove the even teeniest hair. And starting from £15 it is affordable, too. Specially for the occasion Leticia Haute Coiffure has launched a Waxing Package including a half leg, Brazilian and underarm wax for £50, perfect for those who wear micro shorts! For the once with limited tolerance to pain Leticia Haute Coiffure has launched the Vodka shot Brazilian wax which includes a complimentary shot of vodka with any Bazilian wax (for the ones over 18 years old).

20140718-165235.jpg
Step 2: Le tan
But without looking orange. The salon uses Vita Liberata self tan products, which are odourless and dry within minutes; a self-tan that is as close to a natural tan as you can get.
Free from nasty chemicals, parabens and alcohol but packed with botanical extracts that make it kind and nourishing to the skin (20 Minutes, £40, exclusive in Marylebone).

20140718-165625.jpg
Step 3: The Brazilian Blow Dry
There is no need to be fighting frizz and send curls into a spin whilst being on a festival. Leticia Haute Coiffure’s Brazilian Blow-dry treatment will leave hair suitably kink-free and soft, giving it a blow dry finish for up to four months every time you wash your tresses. (from £100)

20140718-165805.jpg
Last and not least: the nails!
Get Leticia Haute Coiffure’s ArtisticNails – from only £35, the manicure will stay perfect for up to 3 weeks – so you can ensure that your beauty babe and festival fan can be one and the same.

20140718-165833.jpg

Leticia Haute Coiffure attended the launch of the TIGI Bed Hair space at Boxpark

Leticia Haute Coiffure lead by Creative Director Pierre Doumit, were invited to the launch of the Bed Hair pop up salon at Boxpark in Shoreditch. TIGI hosted the event on 17th of July to celebrate the launch of its pop up space during the Summer.

 image001

The location for the pop up salon fits the Bed Head brand to a T in hip and trendy Shoreditch, a few steps away from Pizza East, the iconic Shoreditch House, Beach Blanket Babylone and the renowed restaurant les 3 Garcons. Boxpark itself is a very recognisable place due to unusual setting made from garage boxes lined up one after the other and topped up by an open air bar, always packed on sunnydays. Boxpark is extremely popular in the fashion and beauty industry as it is used as a scenery for various pop up shops.

On arrival Pierre and the team were invited to discover the Bed Hair space: a very modern pop up salon with a twist of rustic.

Pierre and the team were then invited to come upstairs, where all the action took place. Especially for the event, the upper floor of the pop up salon was transformed into a dance floor packed with the event’s guests dancing along the house music played by a live DJ. A screen showing the action taking place downstairs in the Bed Hair space was set in the middle of the dancefloor which was pretty cool and fascinating.

Aside from partying with other members of the industry Pierre had a chance to catch up with TIGI founder Anthony Mascolo. Anthony has always been a source of inspiration for Pierre who has always admired his many successes and achievements and inspired Pierre to move to London and create his own brand. A pretty inspiring and fun event for the team!

Leticia Haute Coiffure at the Finale of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards

After a successful two days of session work for the Regionale Finale of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Award Essie called Leticia Haute Coiffure again to join its Creative Team backstage National Finale of the Awards.

20140702-072050.jpg
After a very urban nail design for the Regionale Finale the moodboard for this show no set design was specified this time. Some models had squoval, others rounded and the ever-classic square. One style was a plain manicure using Plumberry nail varnish matching the looks of the models with natural and long hair styles.

20140702-072215.jpg
Candace, Leticia Haute Coiffure beauty therapist who attended the event recalls” Models were prepped with a file and buff, if necessary. Application of Essie base coats was to show the ring and jazz, all thrown into the mix for this final. Two coats of Essie Plumberry, then a finish of Essie “good to go” top coat and Essie “drying drops”, leading to models being ready to hit the catwalk”

20140702-072121.jpg
“For another set Essie team created contorted nail extensions, inspired by Christian Louboutin – quite amazing what can be created with a blowtorch and some plastic. Essie liquorice was applied on one side and lacquered up on the other. A French manicure of matte and glossy top coat perfected this extreme look for an amazing end result.”

So for your Colour Trophy inspired nails get booked in and start fashioning your own catwalk nails this summer!!!

Oscar Winning Hair

The Oscars ceremony was held on Sunday night and as every year, it is the occasion to catch up with the latest Red Carpet trends which will inspire us for the year to come for Bridal and Events hair styles.
The big winner of this year was the parted wavy hair. A classic of red carpet hair styling and the signature style for glamorous brunettes such as Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie. This year the wavy parting style was sported by style icons Cate Blanchet, Jessica Biel, Sandra Bullock and Kate Hudson. The finish was softer than the usual “old Hollywood glamour” style with loose waves for a more romantic and modern look.

20140305-075301.jpg
Pierre Doumit, international celebrity and session stylist and creative director of Leticia Haute Coiffure shares his styling tips on how to create this hair style at home.
“Start by wasting your hair with Hydre from Sebastian before applying the Hydre conditioner for soft and shiny hair. Swap for a volumising shampoo and conditioner if you have fine hair. Apply a pea size amount of Potion 9 from Sebastian – Potion 9 Lite for fine hair – on your hair to give it a great body. Rough dry you hair with the desired parting. Once the hair is dry create loose curls with a GHD straightener or an iron curler. Once the hair is cold brush the hair with a soft brush to loosen the curls into soft waves then spray hair spray and add shiny mist for a super glamorous finish.”
All products are available for purchase on Leticia Haute Coiffure online shop. For additional hair styling tips book a hair master class with Pierre.

Leticia Haute Coiffure at London Fashion Week -Part 2 – Beauty

20140217-224505.jpg
Leticia Haute Coiffure’s beauty therapist Gabriele joined the Essie Creative Team for Day 4 of London Fashion Week to work backstage of Issa London fashion show. The show took place at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery and was filled with international super models such as Karolina Kurkova.

20140217-224559.jpg
The fast pace scene working with models and in between hairdressers and make up artists was a new and exciting experience for Gabriele allowing her to use her skills in a new and inventive way.

20140217-224659.jpg
When it came to creating the nail look, the first step was the prep. Essie’s creative team went for identical file in to a short chic square shape, then a smooth moisturise with a hand cream and cuticle condition with the Essie Apricot cuticle oil.

20140217-224926.jpg
Once hands and nails were fully prepared, then the team applied the varnish. The nail theme for the collection was less is more in constrat with the bold colours and strong prints of the garments. The classic neutral tone “Sugar Daddy” colour by Essie was used and then “Top Matte Finish” for a matte-on-trend twist.
